1. Courses and Modalities and Enrollment

What courses, modalities and levels do you offer, and what levels of proficiency do your courses cover?
At DELIATEACHER,, we offer the following courses and levels, all of them in different modalities (online live, online pre-recorded, face-to-face, or in-company) and formats (one-to-one, groups & private groups):
1. Speaking courses: These focus on improving speaking and listening skills through interactive activities, discussions, and practical sessions. We offer these courses in three languages (English, Spanish and Catalan) and cover all levels of proficiency (A1-C2).
2. Academic English courses: These cover all aspects of language learning, including speaking, listening, reading, and writing. They cater to different proficiency levels, from beginners (A1/A2) to advanced (C1) learners. We offer these courses in three languages (English, Spanish and Catalan).
3. Exam-preparation courses: These courses prepare students for standardized language proficiency exams such as Cambridge English, TRINITY, LanguageCert, TOEFL, IELTS, DELE (Spanish), etc. We offer these courses in three languages (English, Spanish and Catalan) and cover all levels of proficiency (A1-C2).
4. Business English courses: Tailored for professionals, these courses focus on language skills needed in business settings, such as writing emails, conducting meetings, making presentations, and business-specific vocabulary. We offer these courses in English, and cover different levels of proficiency (A2 to C1).
5. Specialized (ESP) courses: These include courses catering to specific professions (e.g., medical, legal, or technical language courses). We offer these courses in English, and cover different levels of proficiency (B1 to C1).
6. Intensive courses: These are immersive programs designed to help learners quickly acquire language skills within a short period. They often involve more hours of study per week than regular courses. We offer this type of course in English, Spanish and Catalan and we cover all levels of proficiency (A1-C2).
What technical requirements do I need to attend online classes?
1. Computer or Mobile Device:
A desktop computer, laptop, tablet, or smartphone that meets the minimum specifications :
a. Windows or Mac system for computers
b. Android or iOs for mobile devices
c. Camera
d. Microphone
e. Speakers, Earphones or Headset
2. Internet Connection:
A stable and reasonably fast internet connection to participate in live sessions.
3. Software:
At DELIATEACHER,, we use Microsoft Teams for the live sessions, and Moodle for our virtual classroom. Both platforms have the web browser version and an app for the mobile devices, for both Android and iOs.
Before starting your online course, it’s advisable to check the platform with your device and contact the Academic department if you need any further information or assistance with it, so you can be ready for your first session with your teacher.
Do you offer courses in summer?
All our courses are offered throughout the year. Apart from the language courses we offer (Speaking, Academic, Exam-prep, Business, ESP, Intensive) we also offer immersion experiences in summer. You can find more details in International Programs.
Do you offer international immersion experiences along with language learning?
Yes, we offer courses in the UK and Ireland, for teens and adults. Our programs provide a complete language learning experience by immersing students in the language, culture and customs of an English speaking country. You can find more details in Internacional Programs.
How can I enroll in any of your language courses?
You can enroll in any of the courses DELIATEACHER, offers by booking your place through the webpage. Visit the page of the specific course you are interested in and select your choice. When doing so, we will receive the notification of your booking and the Academics department will contact you with more information about your course, starting date, material needed, users & passwords, etc.

How do you ensure the security and privacy of my personal data?

2. Teachers and Teaching Methods

What are the qualifications and experience of the teaching staff?

1. Language Proficiency: Proficiency in the language being taught is a fundamental requirement. Some of our teachers are native English speakers, and the non-native hold a near-native fluency in the language, along with a deep understanding of its grammar, vocabulary, and cultural nuances.

2. Educational Background: Our language teachers have a bachelor’s or master’s degree in languages, linguistics, education, or a related field. Some also have specialized certifications or diplomas in language teaching methodologies (e.g., TESOL, TEFL, CELTA).

3. Teaching Experience: Our teachers have extensive experience in teaching language courses to diverse groups of students. This experience includes teaching in different settings such as language schools, private or public schools, online platforms, or corporate environments.

4. Professional Development: Continuous professional development is crucial for language teachers. Our teachers participate in workshops, seminars, and training programs to stay updated with the latest teaching methodologies, language learning trends, and technology integration in language education.

5. Specializations: Some of our teachers have specialized expertise in certain areas such as business language, medical or technical language, translation, or proficiency exam preparation (e.g., TOEFL, IELTS, DELE, etc.).

6. Technology Integration: Our teachers have skills in integrating technology into their teaching methods, using online resources, language learning apps, and interactive platforms to enhance the learning experience.

Do you provide one-to-one lessons, group classes, or both?
Yes, we offer all course formats, going from one-to-one sessions, with your private teacher, to group classes, with a maximum of 6 students per course.
What teaching methods do you use in your courses and how do teachers assess and provide feedback on student progress?
At DELIATEACHER,, the teachers will always teach the language from a communicative approach, except for the courses in which the students are preparing for an exam, in which case the course follows task-based learning approach, to work on exam strategies. Also in academic courses, the approach is task-based, as they work on all the different language skills.

In order to assess the student’s progress, the teachers follow different methods:
1. Oral tasks / In-class assessment: Assessing speaking and listening skills through one-to-one activities or group discussions.
2. Continuous assessment: Regular quizzes, participation, homework, and classroom activities contributing to overall assessment by the teacher, also complemented by the assessment from the Academic department.
3. Written assignments: Evaluating writing skills through essays, reports, compositions, or summaries.
4. Exams: The students must take an exam at the end of every quarter, in addition to the continuous assessment throughout the year. At the end of the course, we offer students standardized tests such as Cambridge, LanguageCert, TOEFL, IELTS, DELE, etc., which assess overall language proficiency and gives them an official level certificate.

What is your cancellation policy if I cannot attend to a class session?
For OTO (one-to-one) courses, you can reschedule your session if you cancel with 24 hours in advance.
For group courses, the sessions are not recuperated. However, in those cases, the teacher records the session for the students not to miss out anything from the session they couldn’t attend.
Can I change the program or level of my course if I find it too easy, or difficult?
Of course! You can adapt your program to your needs, in all private courses. In order to do so, please request a meeting with the Academic department. We will talk about your needs and/or level and add to or modify your program accordingly.

3. Course Content and Materials

What type of course materials do you provide?
You will find all sorts of material for you, to advance as much as possible, such as handouts, exercises, podcasts, videos, etc. in your virtual classroom, to which you will have access 24/7.
For academic and exam-preparation courses, the program is also based on a textbook, which is not included in the fee, and so you will have to get it on your own.
Is there any demo class available to see the course content and teaching style?
Yes, we offer prospect students a 15-minute demo class, together with a first-contact meeting to talk about your needs and requirements, so as to be able to recommend you the best course option for what you are looking for.
Can I request customized lessons or specific topics for my language course?
Yes, you can! For private courses, the program is tailor-made, according to your needs. You can request specific topics for your course, or you can even ask us to base your program on your needs based on your profession (Check Specialized courses).
How can I be sure of the best course and level for me?
Before registering, if you are not sure or have questions about the different courses DELIATEACHER, offers, you can request a meeting with the Academic department to check about the best options for you, according to your needs, interests and level. Also, we provide a level test, accessible through our webpage, for everybody to know about their level of English.
What kind of support do you offer to students?

All our students are offered the following, in any kind of course:
• “Tutorias” – school support for kids & teens
• 24/7 access to your own virtual classroom
• Reading and audio material
• Continuous assessment
• Quarter reports

How can I contact student support or teachers if I have questions or concerns?

For student support, you can contact the Academic Manager at academics@deliateacher.com. If you need to contact your teacher, you can do so through the virtual classroom, or Microsoft Teams. You will be given all this information on your first day of classes.

4. Assessment and Certification

Is there a placement test to determine my proficiency level before enrolling in a course?
Yes, we provide students with an online level test, to check your level before registration or during your course. You can access to it through our webpage.
How is the center going to follow up on my progress?
Both the teachers and the Academic department will follow up on each of DELIATEACHER,’s students and their progress through continuous assessment throughout the course/year. Apart from that, our students must take quarter exams and they receive quarter reports with their results during the quarter. Also, the Academic department will arrange meetings with the students/parents every quarter to give and receive feedback. At the end of the course, DELIATEACHER, offers the students to sit a level exam to officially certify their level of English.
Do you offer certificates upon course completion?

Yes, we offer all our students a Certificate of Completion (not official), and also the option to obtain an official level certificate at the end of the course.

Do you prepare for official exams?
Yes, we offer exam-preparation courses for official exams like Cambridge, TRINITY, IELTS, TOEFL and LanguageCert.

5. Pricing and Payment

What payment options do you have?

You can pay with your credit card or bizum through the webpage, make a transfer or pay through the bank (pago recurrente, Domiciliación SEPA) – for the last two, please contact us at info@deliateacher.com

Is there any additional fee apart from the price on the webpage?
There is a registration fee to book all the courses, except for packs, which are paid in full.
Is the material provided included in the fee?
Yes, all the material (except for the textbooks for academic and exam-preparation courses) is included in the fee.
What is your policy if I need to cancel a course?
If you need to cancel a course due to health issues or any other reason, we will keep you in our database to resume the course whenever you feel better to come back, or use it for any member of your family or friend.
